Privacy Policy
The short version: your images are never uploaded, and this site has no analytics, no cookies and no third-party requests.

Your Images Never Leave Your Device
Compress Image Hub is a static web page. When you add a photo, the browser reads it with the File API, decodes it into memory, re-encodes it on a canvas, and hands the result back to you as a download. At no point is the file — or any part of it — sent to a server, because there is no server-side processing to send it to.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and compress an image. You will see the page assets load and nothing else.
What We Do Not Collect
- No cookies, of any kind, including analytics or advertising cookies.
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or session replay.
- No accounts, email addresses, or personal details.
- No third-party scripts, fonts, or embeds. The Geist typeface is served from our own bundle.
- No information about what you compress, what sizes you pick, or what is in your photos.
Metadata in Your Images
When an image is re-encoded through the browser canvas, EXIF metadata is dropped as part of the re-encode. That removes GPS coordinates, camera serial numbers, timestamps, and lens information from the compressed output.
If an image is already smaller than the target you selected, the original file is kept byte-for-byte as-is — which means any metadata in it is kept too. If you need metadata removed and the image already fits your target, choose a different output format to force a re-encode.
Server Logs
Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs — IP address, requested path, user agent, and timestamp — for a short period, for security and abuse prevention. Those logs describe requests for the page itself, never the contents of your images.
Local Storage
We do not write to localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB. Your selected target size resets when you close the tab.
Children
The site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing about a child to collect or retain.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised date. If a future version of the tool were to add any kind of network processing of images, it would have to be stated here in plain language first — that is the whole point of the product.
